- [Now Presents the 70s：亂中有序的AM電台時光](https://musicboxtw.com/zh/now-70s-box-zh/) - 2021年11月，Amazon上一則不起眼的「為你推薦」廣告，就這樣被我盯上了。對，我承認我會在Amazon上買黑膠：價格通常很不錯，預購保價機制很讚，而且住在海外的我，運費也算划算……好啦，扯遠了。那個歷久不衰的英國合輯品牌「Now That's What I Call Music」的幕後團隊，正要推出一套5LP的合輯，叫做《Now Presents: The 70s》。這套黑膠盒裝預計以180克重質黑膠發行，全球限量僅1,000套。稍微瞄了一眼曲目，我就知道這絕對是一張精華盡出的神級合輯。老實說，第一眼掃過去，唯一明顯缺席的大咖就是David Bowie（大衛鮑伊），不過他向來不喜歡自己的歌出現在合輯裡，所以雖然有點失望，倒也不算太意外。容我再離題一下。我超愛老K-Tel唱片公司那些老合輯，倒不是因為音質多好（顯然不是），而是因為那種曲風大雜燴的選歌風格。我愛那種標榜「所有金曲，還有更多」的合輯，而且老實說，那些原本只是「還有更多」裡湊數的歌，後來反而讓我愛上不少。K-Tel如果說有什麼問題，那絕對不是創意或古怪不夠，而是他們硬要把22首歌塞進同一張LP裡。他們會加速播放、剪輯，或直接淡出結尾，只為了能說「所有金曲都在同一張唱片裡」。小時候的我不在意這些。就算現在已經是個世故的大人，我還是愛聽一張破破的K-Tel唱片在星期天下午轉呀轉。有一種東西真的很棒……一張唱片毫不害臊地讓Deep Purple（深紫色樂團）的重金屬跟Donna Summer（唐娜桑瑪）的性感迪斯可肩並肩擺在一起。說真的，仔細想想，K-Tel唱片那種曲風的「精神分裂」，大概也影響了我自己那種同樣「精神分裂」的音樂品味。我一點也不介意AC/DC神氣活現地跟我的ABBA（阿巴合唱團）收藏擺在同一個架子上。懷著對K-Tel唱片一貫的熱愛，當這則廣告跳出來，建議我去看看即將發行的《Now Presents: The 70s》，我整個人就被勾住了。我熱愛流行音樂。講白一點：我對那種公式化、量產出來的芭樂歌沒興趣，但只要是用心做出來的東西，不管聽起來多麼天真或俗氣，我都愛。沒錯，我愛Davy Jones唱的〈Rainy Jane〉（1971，這兩首歌恰好都沒被收錄進這套合輯）跟Sammy Davis Jr.唱的〈The Candy Man〉（1971，同樣沒被收錄），但我愛他們，是因為我相信這些藝人在做這些音樂的時候是真心誠意的，聽得出來。那些旋律、那些情感，美得不得了，儘管這些歌通常會讓你聽了忍不住翻白眼。這套新合輯有一個優點：雖然走的是K-Tel那種把各種曲風全部塞在同一套合輯裡的老路子，但它對待每首歌都很有誠意。重新母帶處理得非常出色，而且不像K-Tel動輒塞10、11首歌在一面，這套合輯每一面最多只放8首相對短的歌。老實說，這樣的首數還是比一般建議的多一點，不過大部分歌曲時長落在3到4分鐘之間，母帶處理水準到位，而且音量也沒有低到讓貝斯聲消失（Paul McCartney（保羅麥卡尼） & Wings（羽翼合唱團）的〈Band on the Run〉聽起來簡直是神級好聽！）。因為一面塞的歌曲數量偏多，這些歌沒辦法「盡情呼吸」，但至少還留了足夠的空間，讓它們好好發揮，撐起一整片豐富的音場。順帶一提母帶處理的音量：偏低。倒不至於低到沒辦法聽（不像某些K-Tel跟Ronco的黑膠），但你還是得把音量調大聲一點。這也連帶造成一個現象……雖然黑膠本身非常、非常安靜，但歌曲之間、還有某些安靜段落，還是聽得到一點點嗡嗡聲、嘶聲跟雜音。這些雜音不會蓋過音樂，但如果你戴著耳機聽、音量又開得比「建議音量」還大，可能會有點惱人。用一組不錯的喇叭聽的話，除非你刻意去聽，不然幾乎聽不太出來這些雜音；不過我還是覺得應該跟你說一聲。在我聽來，這套合輯選歌的品質，完全彌補了這個小缺點。裡面真的沒有一首歌是地雷（好啦……David Soul 1977年那首〈Don't Give Up on Us〉可能是例外，那首歌真的尷尬到爆）。就算是我沒那麼喜歡的歌，也都是些具有代表性、有份量的作品。這些選曲，絕對是大部分藝人生涯中「必聽」等級的代表作。我個人是覺得，有些選曲有點奇怪，不過這可能是因為我是北美人，而不是選歌的人有問題。畢竟選曲不只受發行年份限制，還得考量在英國樂迷心中的人氣（畢竟這是一套英國合輯）。我之所以說選歌受限於發行年份，是因為每套黑膠的每一面，都代表70年代裡某一年的精華中的精華。第一張黑膠涵蓋1970跟1971年：A面全部是1970年的歌，B面則是1971年，依此類推。第五張、也是最後一張黑膠，收錄的是1978年（A面）跟1979年（B面）的傑作，為這個十年劃下句點。儘管絕大多數歌曲都精彩到不行，我還是得承認，有幾個選擇讓我摸不著頭緒。如果是我來選，我會比較希望看到：1. - [Smile Pop：The Orchids那張又豐潤又傻氣、名字取得完美的《Lost Star》](https://musicboxtw.com/zh/orchids-2010-zh/) - 什麼是 Smile Pop？其實就跟字面上的意思一樣，就是那種會讓你不自覺露出笑容的流行音樂。 你可能知道，我幾乎是 Sarah Records 旗下所有作品的粉絲。我剛開始探索 Sarah Records 時，發掘到的其中一支樂團，就是來自格拉斯哥的 The Orchids。他們一開始只是很標準、很普通的鏗鏘流行（jangle pop）樂團，後來卻變成一支不畏懼實驗的樂團。在 Sarah Records 旗下發行的三張專輯和六張單曲裡，他們創作出一些美麗的 twee pop、一些讓人忍不住跟著唱的鏗鏘流行，還有一些很適合跳舞的 Balearic 節拍。放一張 The Orchids 的唱片來聽，基本上就像在聽一支玩得很開心、也不太在乎方法的樂團。 1994 年那張慵懶迷醉的《Striving For The Lazy Perfection》，是一張充滿有趣採樣和電子歡樂的好專輯，說它是 Primal Scream 經典專輯《Screamadelica》的靈魂伴侶也不為過，不過若單論不靠單曲加持的純粹聽感享受，《Striving For The Lazy Perfection》其實更好聽。這是一張可以從頭聽到尾的專輯，聽到最後一個音符響起時，你總會納悶時間怎麼過得這麼快。這張專輯是 The Orchids 在 Sarah Records 錄音生涯的巔峰之作，展現了他們認真起來到底能做到什麼程度。可惜的是，這也是他們往後超過 10 年間，最後一張完整長度的作品。 Sarah Records 在 90 年代初收攤之後，The Orchids 似乎也跟著銷聲匿跡了。他們絕對是一支應該更被大眾認識的樂團。被誤貼上「twee 獨立流行」的標籤，加上簽在一間常被樂評界嘲諷的廠牌，肯定沒幫上什麼忙，但他們自己那種隨性散漫的職涯態度，大概也讓他們幾乎不可能被大廠牌相中、發行作品。從我讀到、聽到的資訊來看，Sarah Records 大概是當年唯一一間願意忍受他們那些亂七八糟事情的廠牌了。 那段荒蕪歲月裡，一定是有什麼改變了。也許他們終於成熟了。也許他們終於決定要認真看待「當一支職業樂團」這件事。不管原因是什麼，2007

- [沉睡在積滿灰塵的唱片箱裡：Gary Wright《Dream Weaver》帶我走進了它的世界](https://musicboxtw.com/zh/gary-wright-1975-zh/) - Gary Wright《Dream Weaver》(1975) 當你在外面閒晃，看到一間小店（或只是某間店裡的一小塊區域）在賣一些黑膠和 CD 時，你會不會停下來翻一翻？我會。我每次都會。這件事快把我認識的每個人都逼瘋了！你也是這樣嗎？只要東西夠便宜、狀況看起來還不錯，只要看起來有趣，我一定會出手。我對 70 年代那種依稀記得是我童年 AM 電台放的音樂特別沒有抵抗力。有次我跟朋友到台北過週末，我們整趟行程基本上就是拚命跑唱片行！我們在一條巷子裡找到一間小店，裡面有大量 70、80 年代的封膜黑膠。大部分是所謂的「不良品」（也就是封面上打了個洞）唱片，而且大部分專輯都是台灣官方授權壓製的版本，每張大約 3 塊美金。我決定豁出去，最後挖到十幾張真的很有趣的專輯！其中，我挖到一張全新未拆封的 Gary Wright《The Dream Weaver》。這張專輯我原本完全不熟，只知道其中那首出色的同名主打歌，1975 年發行時曾紅遍全球。單憑這首歌，我就決定花這 3 塊錢，看看整張專輯到底行不行。我以前其實沒怎麼聽過 Gary Wright，不過後來才發現，他住在英國時曾是 Spooky Tooth 的一員。他也曾參與 George Harrison（喬治哈里森）1970 年那張經典專輯《All Things Must Pass》的演奏，並因此結下友誼，後來幾乎參與了 George Harrison 之後每一張專輯。他也曾和 Ronnie Spector、B B King（比比金）、Jerry Lee Lewis 和 Harry Nilsson（哈利尼爾森）這些搖滾樂界的傳奇人物同台演出過。自 2004 年起，他也經常是 Ringo Starr（林哥史達）All-Starr Band 的固定成員。對一個我以前完全沒聽過的人來說，這份資歷還真不賴。好，長話短說，我把專輯帶回家，洗好，放上唱針，結果整個人都被震撼到了！這是一張很棒的專輯，聽起來像前衛搖滾、新浪潮、power pop 和華麗搖滾的一場邪門聯姻。你真的不會踩雷。A 面沒有一首弱曲，而 B 面則由〈Dream

- [歡迎來到音樂盒咖啡黑膠所](https://musicboxtw.com/zh/musicboxtw-zh/) - 歡迎來到音樂盒咖啡黑膠所 愛上黑膠，重新愛上音樂。遇見你的下一位最愛音樂人。 音樂盒，是一間藏身嘉義市的黑膠唱片行兼咖啡館。我在這裡收藏唱片、沖煮咖啡，而大部分時間，都在幫大家遇見他們的下一位最愛音樂人。 營業時間：週六、週日，下午3點至晚上9點……歡迎光臨，來坐坐吧。 最新消息！ 音樂盒賣什麼 我不是想進那些拿來炫耀、或是根本沒人聽過的唱片。我想要收藏的，是那些真正有理由存在的唱片。我希望顧客拿起一張唱片時，心裡會想:「這裡當然會有這張啊。」不是因為它稀有、不是因為它貴，而是因為它本來就該在這裡，等著被人發現、被人珍惜。每一張唱片，都得靠自己的本事贏得架上的位置…..紅不紅、冷不冷門，一點都不重要。音樂人對自己作品的那份熱情就是一切，擁有獨一無二的音樂個性也同樣重要。 音樂盒想成為什麼樣的店 音樂盒從來沒想過要當最大間的唱片行……算了，那本來就不是我的夢想，反正也拼不過人家，哈哈。音樂盒想做的，是選片最用心的那一間唱片行。一間能讓你遇見那些「原來我需要的是這個！」的音樂的店，店裡的試聽庫幾乎能滿足大部分流行和搖滾的需求，而幫顧客尋找特殊訂購唱片這件事，我也算小有名氣。 你會在這裡找到什麼 音樂盒的店內試聽庫收藏了大量搖滾、流行，還有R&B，以及它們底下的各種子類型，從1950年代一路收到最新發行的作品。而且說真的，我一直在把收藏的空缺一塊一塊補起來！話說在前頭，爵士、古典、嘻哈這幾類，在我這裡真的不多，這點我想老實跟你說清楚。這些音樂各自都是一片浩瀚的天地，老實講，我還沒有深入到能有自信地推薦給你。 那法國電音、德國科技舞曲、日本民謠搖滾呢？來啊，儘管放馬過來，哈哈！只要音樂能打動你，語言從來就不是問題。英文、法文、中文、日文、韓文、德文、葡萄牙文、西班牙文……都在音樂盒的架上占有一席之地。有時候，歌詞反而會礙事，讓你沒辦法直接感受到音樂人真正想傳達的東西，你說是不是？ 我想我真正想說的是，來我的店裡走一趟，應該要像一場 Magical Mystery Tour：你永遠猜不到會遇見什麼，但那往往正好是你需要的。 歡迎跟我聊聊（我都在） 歡迎光臨音樂盒！歡迎在網站上到處逛逛，看看我在忙什麼。這裡有滿滿的文章，聊各種不同的音樂……總有一篇會讓你眼睛一亮！ 還有，別忘了，只要你需要找什麼、或想要一點推薦，我隨時都在。不管你要找什麼唱片，我都會盡全力幫你挖出來。我沒有電話號碼可以留給你（867-5309 已經被一位名叫 Jenny 的人用走了），不過你可以透過聯絡頁面留言給我，或是透過任何一個社群管道找我。 我們如何評分 | 運送方式
